The California All State Selection Tour (Combine) General Information Page

Getting Started

1. Enter the Combine Schedule navigation link on the top of the home page.

2. Locate the combine that is near your geographical area and make sure that the date and location works for you.

3. Go to the Registration Navigation link and complete the online process.

4. Pay $75 Online Fee.

5. Show up on scheduled date at 8:00 am for check in.

6. We encourage you to attend as many combines as you can. The teams will not be selected until October, so that gives you an opportunity to improve your score’s.

7. Sign up online to receive a $20 discount.  Registartion the day of the event will be accepted for a fee of $119.00.

About the Combine:

The California All State Combine consist of 4 major test’s that will measure an athletes attributes. These test’s will be conducted during the first two hours of the combine. The athlete will then be placed in a position specific group. The group session will last approximately 2 hrs. The athlete will be placed through several football oriented drills that will help the combine staff gain a better understanding of their knowledge, skill level, and physical abillity. Each participant will be rated by the instructor on a 1-5 scale after the drill session is completed. (See Drills and the Scale Legend below). After the combine is over the committee will evaluate each canidates combine tests results and their position skill scores to determine the canidates final rating.

Position Drill Rating System:

1. Poor   2. Satisfactory  3. Average  4. Great  5. Excellent

Combine Test:


40 yd Dash

1. Each canidate will be asked to run a timed 40 yard dash. This test measures the canidates abillity to accelerate to top end speed.

2. Each canidate will be given one trial run unless the instructor feels that they should be given a second opportunity.

5-10-5 Shuttle

1. Each canidate will demonstrate their abillity to move laterally and change direction during this drill. The canidate will start in the center of a 10 yard area. The canidate will move one direction 5 yards touch the line, change direction and run 10 yards touch the line, and then change direction a second time and finish where they started.

Standing Broad Jump

1. This drill is designed to measure how explosive the canidate is in their hip, core, and leg areas.

2. The candiate will start from a standing position, and leap forward as far as they can. The instructor will then measure from the starting point to where they landed.

3. Each canidate will be given two attempts during this drill.

Vertical Jump

1. This drills is also designed to measure how explosive a canidate is in their hip, core, and leg areas.

2. Cach canidate will be asked to start from standing position on a digital verticle mat and jump as high as they can in a vertical position.

3. Each canidate will be given two attempts during this drill.
